Christmas Update!

ADDED: Birmingham BUTTS Date confirmed as Sunday 3rd of February

Hey Guys, as it's Christmas, I've added some stuff to the site just for fun; most notably there are some additions in the history section, specifically some of the Original BUTTS Documentation and a section for listing the many incarnations of BUTTS Rules that I have encountered.

Most importantly are the current rules, which have now passed the date for review (by quite some time) so have now become the current rules.

However, possibly of most interest is THIS; using the results from last year I have created overall rankings of the archers who competed in BUTTS last year. Obviously there are no awards or anything, but it should be an interested read.

Aside from that, have a good Christmas, and I shall see you all in the new year!

Loughborough Results!

HERE

Momentus BUTTS Leg took place this last Saturday, being the FIRST EVER BUTTS Leg which did not play host to a Toucan Ceremony or Mars Bar award!

Cambridge's Experienced Team lead is cut down to only a single point by another strong victory by Warwick. Experienced Teams were close fought though, with 4th place Loughborough putting in a score that was higher than 2nd Place at Warwick BUTTS and 3rd Place at Nottingham.

Novice Teams once again dominated by Cambridge, but Nottingham put in a strong 2nd place that put them in good stead for next term.

Top of Male pack was close with 3rd place being decided on golds; this leg also saw the return of Loughborough's compounds and their dominance of any competition.

Warwick BUTTS Published

Exact results can be found HERE

Cambridge claim 1st and 2nd in Novice and Experienced Team competitions respectively to go top of both leagues.

Warwick win Experienced Team event on 2225, and take second place in Novice Team competition.

Colin Geenes of Coventry, shooting as a guest, claim individual Men's gold, and Julie Chenery of Warwick claims women's gold with top score of the day 571.

Novice Gold both went to Cambridge, Emma Pewsley picking up her 2nd gold in two weeks, and Alex Peters adding to the impressive medal haul for Cambridge.

Special note should be made to Derby, who put in a respectable performance at their first ever BUTTS Leg. In doing so, they took home both the Barebow Medal (Helen Bundy, 504) and the 3rd Place Ladies Medal (also Helen Bundy).

Derby dominated all barebow division, claiming nearly all the top spots available to them. In doing so they set two new BUTTS records:

Katharine Budd takes the Novice Ladies Barebow Record with 324

and

Helen Bundy takes the Ladies Barebow Record with 504

Congratulations to all who attended; next leg is Loughborough in 2 weeks.
