BUTTS League Badges PDF Print E-mail

In the season 2010-2011 the BUTTS League badges were first introduced. Similar to FITA stars/rose awards/target awards and the numerous other badges that people pin to their quiver to reward student archers in BUTTS. Like the other systems there are Gold, Red, Blue, Black and White badges. So far over 300 badges have been claimed in just two years. There are also Purple BUTTS badges only awarded to people for special service towards University Archery and the BUTTS League

The 2011-2012 Indoor Championships at Loughborough saw the inaugural awarding of the Purple BUTTS badge.  The award has currently been presented to the following worthy winners:

·         Tom Cram (2012) for exceptional work within the league running the indoor championships and many other shoots as well as dedication to his team.

 

·         Chris Blake (2012) for services to social archery as well as performance in hosting BUTC 2012 among other shoots.

 

 

·         Ashleigh McCloud (2012) for being one of the founding members of AfS (Archery for Students), running four national university tournaments.

 

·         Steve Johnson (2013) for running the BUTTS League for three years, introducing the BUTTS Ball and BUTTS Badges, founding AfS and being chair of the BUCS Sports Advisory Group.

 

 

·         Marc Tamlyn (2014) for services to BUTTS, BUCS and external archery, particularly through the creation of his scoring system.

 

·         Rachel Foster (2014) for dedication to the league in entering her team for everything including running BUTTS Indoor Champs and Ball and the first ever BUTTS Team Champs.

 

 

·         Chris Guerin (2015) for services to the BUTTS League, cheifly serving as league organiser for two years, introducing Team and Field Champs. Long service to UWAC, continued support to the League acting on behalf of the league organiser at opposing legs.

 

·         Harry Taylor (2015) for his commitment to the league and volunteering his club to host BUTTS Team Champs, the first venture into the league for Division 2 clubs, and the BUTTS Ball and Indoor Champs.
