Update 13/01/07
Saturday, 13 January 2007
Cambridge University Novice Captain, Rob Fryers, has just let me know that one of their novices, Tim Hutt , has in fact shot before. I comend the honesy of Cambridge coming forward, but would like to remind ALL University the criteria of being an archer being a novice, as set out in the BUTTS Rules

A "novice" is a person who has not shot (except "have-a-goes"/summer camps etc) before September of the current academic year, and has not previously held insurance with an archery governing body.

Please ensure that all your noives ARE infact novices to prevent misunderstandings in future.

Due to this, I have adjusted the Nottingham results accordingly. It has not afftected the Novice team standinds, except reducing the margin by which Cambridge won. However, as Tim won the gold medal in the novice category, it has affected the indivual male standing. The results are now as follows for medals

Gold – David Bebb (Cam)

Silver – Ivan Hoo (Cam)

Bronze – Jack Bryant (Brum)

Rob has told me he will try to bring the bronze medal to Warwick BUTTS so Jack can pick it up.

All the results have been updated according.

I hope shooting is going well. See you in a few weeks.
